Improvements carried out: Conservatory (sun furnace), solar panels, rockwool insulation, inert gas filled double glazing, solar panels with intelligent charging for Tesla, diversion (home made) of excess solar energy for heating DHW, cooking, etc.. Woodburner sometimes used for cooking. 

What went right? What improvement have you seen or benefitted from as a result?: My monthly direct debit to Octopus for gas and electricity is approx £85. I live mostly off grid between the spring and autumn equinoxes. 

My top tip for a Future Fit Home is: Thermal store in basement. Better insulation of floor and inclusion of underfloor heating using piped water.
